| What are Orbs? | |||||||||||||

There's an orb on me! What can I do?
Several people have been worried by photos, such as the one to the left, which appear to show orbs 'on' people. The assumption is that they are somehow attracting at worst ghosts and at best dust, but in fact neither is true.
These orbs are, in fact, out of focus highlights of dust near to the camera. But because photo stills are 2D the can appear to be 'on' people.
Cameras have a 'field of view' in a similar way that your eyes do, except that with your eyes you are able to judge depth. As you are sitting at your PC choose any object within your line of sight, preferably one far away. Now put your hand near to your face and move your hand until it appears to be next to the object you are looking at. Obviously your hand is nowhere near the object, let alone right next to it, but they just appear to be close together in your line of sight. It's harder to tell in photographs because they are 2D, but these orbs represent the same effect.
